GeraQuest RPG Lore: The Gera Realm
Published 21 April 2026 · 8 min read
Quick answer: The Gera Realm is a semi-futuristic world bound by the Citizen Covenant — a public promise that every service is local, fair, and accessible. Three factions (the Guilds, the Auditors, the Outside Holdings) wrestle for influence. GeraQuest RPG is the adventure-narrative layer of the trilogy that also includes GeraCity (urban) and GeraTycoon (economic).
The world
The Gera Realm spans four regions: Gera-Prime (capital), the Temple Region (north, spiritual), the Auditor Vaults (east, recordkeeping), and the Markets of Gera-South. A fifth region, the Reach, is locked until New Game+.
The factions
The Guilds
Ten trade guilds, one per Gera service (Clinic, Home, Market, Eats, Learn, Farm, Ride, Cash, Sure, Rent). Each has a chapter house in Gera-Prime. Guilds fund most of the realm's infrastructure but compete for the Ledger's top positions.
The Auditors
Neutral arbiters of the Gera Ledger. Every transaction is witnessed and recorded. The Auditors are severe but fair; corrupt Auditors are exiled to the Reach. NPC leader: Auditor Volkov.
The Outside Holdings
A shadow consortium that does not recognise the Covenant. They deal off-Ledger. Over Act 3–5 the player discovers the Outside Holdings are trying to corrupt the Ledger from within. They are the primary antagonist.
Recurring NPCs
- Dr Anahit — hospital head in GeraCity; companion and healer in GeraQuest RPG.
- Auditor Volkov — chief Auditor in GeraQuest RPG; cameo in GeraTycoon.
- Mayor Kote — GeraCity's default mayor; retired consultant in GeraTycoon; faction captain (the Courier Guild) in GeraQuest RPG.
- The Seer — a Scholar companion exclusive to GeraQuest RPG, knows secrets about the other two games.
The long arc
“The Citizen Covenant” is the trilogy's shared storyline. It begins in GeraCity (build a city that honours the Covenant), deepens in GeraQuest RPG (investigate who is trying to break it), and resolves in GeraTycoon (starve the Outside Holdings of capital). Playing all three games in sequence unlocks the canonical ending.
Easter eggs and references
- The Guild heraldry mirrors each real Gera product's brand logo.
- An Act 4 side-quest involves a “Prompt Codex” — a direct reference to PromptQuest.
- Saving money in the Bank Run skill echoes the GeraCash mobile-money layer.
