1. Running solo past Chapter 3
The solo run is charming for the tutorial arc. Past Chapter 3 the encounter density rises and solo runs stall. Recruit your first companion at the Chapter 3 town.
2. Over-levelling
Grinding to 3 levels over content reduces XP gain and item quality drops. Play at level-of-content.
3. Skipping the Merchant
Merchant item-yield compounds every subsequent clear. A Merchant mid-party accelerates every class.
4. Ignoring set-bonus stats
Full-set bonuses are typically 2-4x the sum of the individual piece bonuses. Swapping one piece for a better stat often reduces total character power.
5. Hoarding potions
Low-tier potions stacked to 99 are wasted. Craft them into mid-tier at alchemists.
